best falcon 4.0 add-on
« on: September 11, 2005, 11:16:58 PM »
i was just curious what the best falcon 4.0 add-on is... ie superpak, freefalcon etc.... i was just curious as to what installs everyone has, cuz it seems i have a problem with freefalcon because everytime i drop CBU's i get a nice volumetric explostion but then when i drop any of the mark 8X or any kind of bomb i get falcons original explosion.... so nehelp would be greatly appreciated, or ne suggestions.... im also getting a strang cockpit in freefalcon, its looks like a cocpit that someone made in a really cheap 3d program.. and im thinking it has something to do with my resolution?? i run falcon at 1280x1024... so im thinking i need to convert all the pit art to 1280x1024?? anyhelp would be great because im trying to get back into falcon (especially since im buildin a friggin pit for it) so some nice visuals would be nice..... i know LP kinda f'ed things so many of the add-ons i prolly cant download nemore but thats ok im just curious as to what everyone is running and is satified with it.....

p.s. if ran SP4.2 with BMS wut ever but jor some reason i still got a jittery plane and a bounch of things just werent rite??? and its not just on one computer if tried it on both of my machines??? ahhh im going insane!

                                                                  -thanks for any help!

CobraOne 1.11 resizes the cockpit which should elimiate the need to resize the artwork.  That would just be a nightmare.  You might want to check out some of the third party 16x12 pits too as they are much better than the stock pits.  You can also use Paul Wilson's cockpit add-on from FreeFalcon.  Personally I prefer Aeyes 16x12 pits.  You'll have to order them now as Aeyes is closing up shop.

As for the explosions, I'm not sure but I can tell you that I've had countless hours of online and offline success with FF3/CobraOne.
