Status: Married with one 4 year old daughter and another in the oven ( due september)
Hobbies: Cycling, RC planes, Driving, Building stuff ( doesn't really matter what as long as i get to use tools) - of course of all that i only get to do the cycling and maybe sometimes the pit.

Bio :

Born in Israel 1973, been into RC planes since i was 12, then left that went to cycling, then at 18 the army killed that, though i did meet my wife there so something good came out of that.
After the army my wife needed a computer so i got into that and now I'm a system administrator.

started with simming when i was ~14 using a sim called F-117, droped that 2 years later and didn't touch a computer till 10 years later.
got back to siming at Falcon 4 ( though i have to admit I did fly some F22    but don't tell anyone).
when i opened the box and saw the keyboard layout i thougt - this is no good, there must be a better way to fly this plane, got together with a relative that learned electronics and started bugging him, later on found simpits and the rest is history. Actually at the rate things are going it wont be history for a very long time, but we'll see...

Ido,

Nice BIO!!  I always wanted to get into RC planes since I was about 15..  Just last summer, when I moved so Saskatoon, I picked up an electric A-10 and computer software to learn to fly RCs..  After a couple hours I was kicking ass on the computer, could land anything and do all sorts of neat tricks..  However the electric light RCs in the windy province was a big mistake!!  After about the 3rd crash with the wind drifting my plane into buildings, trees, and the water tower, I stripped it all up, and sold it on ebay..  Short hobby, but enjoyed it while it lasted for 3 days!

Hey Ido,

I remember F-117.  It was an old MicroProse title.  It was pretty cool.  The one thing I remember is that it flew like a truck.  It's a good thing the 117 was stealthy because of a bad guy ever saw it and engaged air to air, it would be all over.

RC planes are something I've always enjoyed watching but was never able to get into.  It must be because I'm not really good at building things.  A friend of mine who owned a computer hardware manufacturing company once took me for a tour in the buildings basement.  Down there were approximately a dozen beautiful RC aircraft.  He told me that he would buy them and his staff would build them in the off hours.  Then on weekends they would organize huge meets.  I thought that was such a great employee benefit program.  Nick said "It keeps them out of the bars".

I'm enjoying watching your pit developement too. There are some great things being done all around this forum and I'm glad you are a part of it.  Thanks for posting the Bio!
Blue Skies,
