Sorry it took so long to get back to you guys. Been having too much fun working on the pit. I finally got around to making a post about my electronics setup: https://www.viperpits.org/smf/index.php?topic=12908.0

I also make the backplane controller using an ESP32 and a CAN Bus network over Ethernet cable. I'd be happy to make a new post with more details if you're interested.
I'd be keen to hear how your controller works.

I do indeed make the PCBs myself. I've had a Makera Carvera for a while and it's perfect for this use. I make a PCB for the lighting layer using SMD LEDs. I also make the backplane controller using an ESP32 and a CAN Bus network over Ethernet cable. I'd be happy to make a new post with more details if you're interested. Welcome aboard!
If you made that PCB yourself I'd like to know how you made it. It looks like you milled through the solder resist, which takes pretty fine depth control.

Welcome aboard! Indeed great work there. Have you been making your own pcb's? That panel board looks like the SNSR PWR one Way to go!
