Tower wing man and other commands

HELP! 
In AF I don?t have sound for the tower, wing man, or any other voices, after I ask permission to taxi.
I am flying my own TE that I made, and I only have the problem if I Ramp Start, if I don't Ramp Start it works fine.
Trying to get the hang of Dog fighting again, as well as getting the Ramp Start down packed.

You did turn up the volume on the COMM1 and COMM2 knobs, did you?

  Nope I did not do that, because it is not in the training tutorial. 

But then I don't even hear my own voice either.

That's a bug in AF. If you do a ramp start and forget to turn on the radios, you won't even hear sounds once back in the UI.
