Welcome, don't worry about not having anything built. We all started with nothing. Just start your own build thread, introduce yourself, and you will find a lot of new friends. Many that live near you.

Hi
Does anyone have any photos from the "ripcord handle cover" and where to put the "Ripcord Through Strip" ?
-
Good picture of the cover in Seeky's thread here (not fully hooked up) -

Also - great build on a mechanism here -

A long time ago I came across a real ejection spring without really realizing what it was at the time...it's sort of like a heavy, clock mainspring - and I think the ball in the end of the Ejection Handle cable fits into a slot/retainer on the spring itself...I think...
...this is what I think is a picture of the spring in question...and that the ball-end of Handle Cable end would somehow clip into the green part at the center of the spring, and wind around. But that's just my guess....

My aces goes on but I discovered that it does not fit in the tub.
Yes the seat need diet.
I have clearance 509mm in the tub and the aces is 458 + 66mm the sides. (524mm)
Is there anyone that fit Brenda' s aces in Symulate' s tub?
-
Good Evening,
I need help with the correct seat position. The seat is by Brenda and the chassis by simulate.
Can you give me some distances?

I think it might be difficult to give distances, unless someone has real plans. It depends on what you use as a baseline.
As you know the seat can move up or down along the rails, so depending on at which height someone has his seat locked the measurement from lets say the kneeguard to another part will differ from someone that has the seat set at a different height.
Start by having a look at the angle of the rail, Have you seen this

One issue some of us noticed, by adding a new CPD on top of the original central pedestal, the seat (near ejection handle) would sometimes hit the CPD. Some of us had to relocate the seat rails back a few cm to provide more clearance when adjusting the seat height. :brickwall:
