PS UDP Falcon Server for Android 2.2 (v0.8)(Beta)
« on: September 29, 2011, 09:23:04 PM »
This application extracts the flight data from Open Falcon, Falcon AF and Falcon
BMS simulators acting like a server and send this data to an android mobile device running the client application PS Gauges trough the TCP/UDP net protocol.

PS UDP Falcon supports 5 clients connected at the same time so you can use five different android devices. Three of them are used for flight data, one for the left MFD, one for the right MFD and one for the HUD.

PS Gauges client application needs Android 2.2

I?ve uploaded the server and the client application, could any administrator give them the permissions?  :taz:

And yes....., it works with the new Falcon BMS  :bounce2:

Thanks! :)
Here is my new questions,
1.when I run PSUdp sever,I got a "error starting Direct input, please make sure you have DirectX installed"  ,but
I can still use the sever.Does this matter? How can I fix it?
   BTW,my system is win7 Ultimate 64bit
2.Is shared memory needed? I see a indicator on the UI
3.Im getting a problem of my cable, so my PC has been connecting to a WIFI,and so does my tablet.
Can I also get gauges output?

Hi Soursoul,

1. Directinput is used to capture keystrokes from the keyboard to change the coordinates to extract the MFD. If you are using BMS or OpenFalcon there is no need to change them. Only for Falcon AF. You can still use the rest of funcionalities. The problem I think is Windows 7 because the directinput version I use is from direct7.
2. I extract the data from the share memory area of falcon, so of course is needed. What UI do you refer to? Falcon?
3. Yes. I only use it via WIFI.

Cheers,
Shep

Hi Weebo,
I don't have Android 4 yet, but it should work. Try it and post your results.
Thanks.

Shepherd, if you?re wondering why there wasn?t that many responded to this, it is because none of the donor members can see anything in the download section, :grumbl:

I would very much like to try your software, but you have to make it available in a different way.

 Reboot.

Hi everyone,

Got my Airis OnePad 970 yesterday!!!  :yihaw:

Here is a picture with the center console gauges with PSUdp software:

I made a little update on PSGauges to fix a display problem regarding the different dip of the device.
You can download it here: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?ez7km9a3ni669gs

 Nice work Shepherd,
It also works on this Samsung Galaxy S.

Ive only tried the gauges as of now, can't try MFD's because my Falcon install is dead,
I get the shared memory data from Falcon Gauges MemFeeder.

If anyone else would like to try this, I have attached the software to the bottom of this post.

Remember you must download all files and then click on the .EXE
(it will then self extract)
