Phase 1 of the forward glareshields has finally come. Valcor and Showtime worked long hours to get the glareshield ready to mold and this weekend the first part was pulled and it looks so SWEEEEET! You can even see the vent hole.

Although I'm impressed already, I would like a couple of more shots from other angles - for instance from the back (or the front from pilot's POV). Can that be arranged ?

Col. Auke104 is correct.  Penny was referencing another item in regards to the $40.00 dollars.  My guess is that this will be just a little bit more (wink).

Hello Everyone

There were many requests for more images of the fwd Glare shield.

We spent around two months work just on building the model for the forward glare shield mold. Presently we are experimenting with strength verses thickness issues with the part. If we build it two thick it will weigh to much and go out of tolerance with other parts. If we build it to thin it will break to easily. Our glare shield was designed to be cut down to the dimensions of the original part or left alone with the current shape. We kept the die hard Simer and the not so die hard simmer in mind while designing the part. I personally am going to use it straight out of the mold without any modifications to the shape.

Our next goal is to scratch build the aft left and aft right glare shields. Ultimately, we are trying to produce the glare shield in four components or project phases. Forward glare shield, aft right, aft left glare shield, and hopefully a full glare shield for those that don't want to deal with all of the glare shield components. Sorry for the amount of time it takes to complete the parts but all of the fine detailed work is meticulously worked by hand.

A horrible site of some of the original parts along side the composite part...but don't fear its only cosmetic damage. I could never bring myself to damage an original F-16 part. That would be like stepping on Superman's cape...its just not done! Haha!
