Well Prior to the new Onboard Oxygen Generator the bottle is the same as the one listed.
There is minor difrences as to the Hose and the pull wire and ring.
But the bottle is the same.
I have this same bottle, although I paid a lot less for it.
I like this one for two reasons:
1. It is easy to find.
2. It is a lot smaller and you don't crack your elbow on it when reachiong back on that side of the pit.
Oh and 3. I like the extra Guage on my AUX console.

Thanks KW, I have this as well, came sealed in original packaging with inspection tags..Mine was dated 1961, is in new condition, never opened..It will work for my seat as well, for what i am doing, just change the pull and cable Ball to the current Ring set up, cheers

Yea, You only see about 4 inches of the black hose anyways.
I am looking for about 5 inches or so of the green corigated cover for the hose so mine will look a little better.

Group,

The one selling the Oxygen bottles is Richard Kilby, the person I mentioned in anouther post.
He is located in Mojave, CA (he also has storage in Techappi, CA & Rosamond, ca). Has about 30 of these bottles left, last time I talked to him. I am trying to meet up with him again, but our schedules have not allowed. If you are interested, I will try and work a group purchase.

if interested, contact me.

I got one of these last year, from the same guy.  They are very nice.  In original packaging as described and should work fine for our pits.

RE: Oxygen Bottle on EBay

Glad to hear more details about this item... and more about this EBay seller  (one reason I like this EBay Thread on the forum)

A group purchase might be nice, or ask if we could post his contact information for additional individual orders in the future... also wonder what other products he might have in those storage locations... perhaps ask him about any other ACES II or F-16 related items that he would like to sell.

BTW, I noticed one other EBay oxygen bottle / regulator offered (ships from Belgium)- more commercial airline dummy bottle (wood replica) but still looks about the right size

Sandman,

Richards father (Bob Kilby) was the first civilian to own an F-16 & F-18 (as seen in Air & Space magazine). I am trying to get a hold of him and see what other F-16, F-18 & F-15 parts he may have.

http://www.f-16.net/news_article2864.html

The story says the planes belong to Air Capitol, but they never owned them. They were to rebuild them, then attempted to sell them. They also agreed to purchase the last T-33's from Canada, then backed out. The F-18 was sitting in Kilb's yard in mojave about 5 years ago, but i have not checked on it recently.

I know at one time his dad had an Aces II seat, but sold it.

His uncle (Ray Kilby, recently deceased) currently has an A-7 and F-101 fuselages (in Rosemaond), (I worked on his F-101, when I was first in the Air Force). As soon as we can connect, I will go check out his inventory.

I have known Bob Kilby, since I was stationed at Edwards AFB (1991-1995), and met Richard approx 1993. Bob and I used to attend goventment auctions and bis against each other. Richard is more into helicopters (UH-1, OH-58, ect....).

Rosamond, Mojave, North Edwards are all about 30-50 miles from where I live (I have a houses in Lancaster, CA & California City, CA; aircraft hangers in California City). Driving down the highway it is Lancaster, Rosamond, Mojave, California City,  Edwards AFB, then North Edwards.

F-104 machmeter - pretty cheap & very similar to the f-16
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lockheed-F-104-Starfighter-Mach-Meter-/380313341792?pt=Motors_Aviation_Parts_Gear&hash=item588c710f60#ht_657wt_948

Yes very similar. But i would not use it, these ones have luminious paint dails(radioactive). In a collection no problem, but in the Viperpit community you will likely try to get this to work with servos or something. Then you have to open this up. Just my two cents.
