Mixed Reality
« on: July 03, 2025, 07:44:39 AM »
Mixed reality is much more usable these day. I use it myself and really like it :Thumbs Up:

I would like to see a specific corner on the forum just for MR, so we MR users can share some tips and tricks. For MR starters a usefull starting point and a place for their questions.

Quite a lot of information about MixedReality is hidden in "Progress Reports", a one-stop-shop would be really great!
Maybe a Sub like Multi-Screen in Cockpit Interface Systems?

Edit: Or change "Multi-Screen" to "Display" and make child boards "Projectors", "Multi-Screen", "VR/Mixed Reality" ?

I think I can do that

but why mixed reality and why not VR simply and then we are a bit larger and we can discuss both VR and more specifically mixed reality as well?

I'm all for this especially as I think I'm in a rather unique situation where my cockpit isn't lighted up and I don't have any displays, so I still need to look inside the in-game cockpit to get information.

Another useful info for posts would be PC and VR specs as well as how the PC connects to the VR headset (wired or wireless) and connection settings.

Great RD

Just a thought, doesn't mixed reality have a bunch of issues you don't have with VR? I would think it is slightly more complicated tweaking a mixed reality setup with a real pit.

So perhaps a separate discussion for both  could be useful.

I agree. Two seperate items would be perfect.

Well, we are not talking topic here, we're talking forum
I am against creating millions of forum - I already think VP has way too many (and a lot of inactive ones) - I agree about categorization to ease up search but Mixed reality is VR so I still think it should already be much better to have 1 VR forum where you guys can put all the VR discussion and make sure you format your posts correctly to clearly indicate that you talk basic VR or mixed reality VR
I don't expect 500 post specifically for VR so the compromise of having a single room for both VR and mixed reality would have no huge consequence and would still be much better that having none at all

I would also say that a single forum is enough.. you can put a VR or MR prefix and everyone knows what all is about.
