No email notification with new posts or PMs

I've noticed this for a while already, but despite having the notification enabled I am not getting any emails (not even in the spam folder) when a new reply is posted on the thread I'm following or when getting private messages

Is anyone else experiencing the same?

Yes, same for me. I think it stopped working around the time the site was shortly down recently.

No notification mails on new answers here, too...

I can't find any server or forum errors to account for this.

A few add-on/modifications ("MODS") within our software package were installed during older versions of the forum software.

Some old "MODS" have newer versions that just need to be reinstalled to our current version, while other older "MODS" are no longer supported.

I'll try to check on this over the next few weeks.

I reviewed the "Permissions" for each member category... 

The permissions for "Notifications" had been turned off for nearly all groups 

Request Notification on Replies
Request Notification on New Topics

These permissions should be enabled now 



These notifications are controlled by your PROFILE->SUMMARY->MODIFY PROFILE->NOTIFICATIONS

  [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]  

You can request to be notified of replies (postings):

• to your postings
• to all new posts on a particular TOPIC (Thread), or
• to all new posts on a particular BOARD

Do not reply by email to these notifications
Return to the forum to post any reply or comment


You can also request email notification of replies to your posting at the time you post:

  [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]  

For email notification of incoming Personal Messages:

  [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]  

For email notification of "mentions" (ie, @Sandman):

  [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
