Hi Marvin,

I would like to engrave my Warthog stick, you have more  information ...

many thanks

Regards

I printed a picture of the cap on the stick from @String's page and took it to a local laser engraver. I just used Google and searched for someone in my area.

You can just print a photo of Marvin's Warthog cap and  take it. If you want String's pics, then just pm me. I saved all of his pics.

I'm wondering if one could also do this with an abrasive gun/mask one's self?

I've got a few ideas that I'm needing a hobby sandblasting gun for - and maybe I could also use it to do this sort of marking.  Not sure about how deep I could get the letters though...I'd need some stock to experiment with.  But could probably take a shot of my Cougar lettering and cut masks from that.

...in theory... .

A little update while I am waiting for some parts to come in the mail.  A complete set of 337M patches.  I am told these are the legit and same ones made for the pilots.  A little disappointed as they actually put the quotations in my name.  :brickwall:  Lol.  I guess that’s my fault as I wrote is that way in the email but thought they would read that correctly.  Oh well I will order news on later and good enough for now.

Cool patches @Marvin,  did you have a specific plan for them, or just a collection?

Hey Blaze,

Yep they are going on my flight suite. :). I also got a set for the 340 M for those days I feel like flying as a 340 squadron.

I am not exactly sure what the top left one is for?  Looks like some sort of multi national training event patch?  Maybe one of the Greek boys can pipe up and let me know what that patch really means?

Where did you get the name patch? Is it custom?

Interrested to get one for the 157th/169th but don't find nothing over the net...

I got them from a place called Highlander in Greece.  I also have 157th patches from about 10 years ago from the place that makes them for the 157th.  Let me see if I can remember where I got them.

Not really Sim related but this gem is certainly going in my sim room.

Small update:

While I am waiting for a shipment from Martin to come in to complete my cockpit I started to unpack all my stuff and start organizing.  I have finally completed my switch collection.  I have all the proper and mil spec switches for the cockpit and 95% of these were purchased brand new.

I promised myself I would not add up my receipts since I started this project but want to see what $3000.00 in switches looks like??
