You should at least take a look to that file to know all the new keys available in order to no loose some options in your ckpits , that files was made from scrach to ensure that all keys are listed in the BMS files

I will do my completly new one. Because of some coutry specific details i have and also for the overview. I do nearly need no toggle commands, so why wasting keys.

Given where I am in my pit build, I will likely use all of BMS 4.33 as my new starting point - but I'd imagine that all of us will need to go back and re-address our interfacing at some point...

Most folks know I've been resistant to moving from FAF to BMS - this is just one more of my reasons why I've been saying I'm not "ready" for BMS yet.  Nigel has already warned us about going ahead and wiring all of our switches - implemented in BMS 4.32 or not - as 3-4 weeks have been running out, so I'm expecting new and fantastic things to be in store for us... !  Now that 3-4 weeks are up, my progress is more on timeline with BMS as I start to actually solder wires and hack key files, so I'll now only be doing it once...to start with...

...I also plan to wait to update my BMS installs until the first few rounds of updates - folks are only starting to check in.  I think I'll build a PC in the meantime... ...

I currenly use Basic with some additions,
however,
as I add more and more panels, I'll probably end up with "pit builder"

I'm starting from the pit builder keyfile and added my DX callbacks to it at the end.

I try to maintain my old file, but i found that when my old file moved to 433. some funny things happen. in short a "mess". I have no choice to make a new one.

I'm in the process of switching to the pit builder keyfile and I think almost everyone in will finish doing so sooner or later...

BMS 4.37 Pitbuilder key file unique keys?
« Reply #11 on: February 11, 2025, 11:01:11 AM »
Hi All,   Question.  I'm working on my keys and wondering If the BMS Pitbuilders key File is unique?   Why I ask,  It looks like some keys have equal bindings.  That should be impossible and I hope and I know i made a failure. :stupid:

Can any one rectify my worry?  and does anyone know where to get and clean pitbuilders keyfile to start over?

regards

Knight.  :whocares:

Hi Maarten,
it is highly recommended to use the alternate launcher in BMS to edit the keyfile.
