Nice!
How did you make the ALS?

How did you make the ALS?

I'm afraid I don't know what the ALS is. Would you please explain?

So now that starters are done, I'd like to share with you the coolest thing I ever did:

I have been working on the ADI for about 3 years now. Yes, it is (almost) fully functional: the 4 flags, roll/pitch, ILS bars and internal lighting are working. External dimensions are 1:1, so I should be able to put it in a real center pedestal should I ever get one :D The knob allows for pitch adjustments.

More to follow (as soon as I am able to shoot a correct video of the instrument working).

@Seeky

You and @Katurbo should talk!  It seems that both of you are working on identical projects.  Check out this thread:

Hi mate,

ALS is the Ambient Light Sensor. The round yellow-purple sensor on the top of the ICP.

Awesome looking ADI there dude.

The ALS (thanks for the acronym!) is made of a 3 mm plexiglas disk. I initialy painted it with golden paint on the backside. I however replaced it with blue-ish ink to model the reflections on the real stuff.

My ADI was feeling lonely, so I gave him a little brother:

Amazing! Both ALS way and the SAI!
Is it interfaced with BMS? If so, only with BMS or did you add additional real behaviour like the 4° nose up offset after aligning?

It is! As is the ADI. I'm hoping to do a quick video as soon as I can.
I didn't know about the +4° thing, care to expand?
What I currently know is that the SAI is fixed on an offset mount that I reproduced.

Thank you Focal, sorry I didn't answer you earlier.

Some more work from me.
First, I did some work on the instrument lightning. I replaced the LEDs with warm white ones that look a lot more like the real-life lightbulbs. I'm quite happy with the result.

BTW, is anyone able to confirm to me the SAI's case outer dimensions? I'm not quite sure about my front panel cutouts...

Meanwhile, I decided to go with the DED next. I did nothing more than using Uri_ba's Deduino. I'd like to take the opportunity to thank him for the troubleshooting

I only designed the DED case to be as close as possible to the real one, and swapped the OLED for a better one dimensions and color-wise.

Next up was the speed indicator / machmeter:

This one is not quite completed yet, but that shouldn't be too hard  ;D

Finally, a little teaser for the next (big) part:
