For making it a little bit more complex. Today I recieved a clearance from the goverment, "Departement of Export Controls of Military Equipment and Weapons" (or in german: Bundesamt für Wirtschaft SECO, Abteilung Exportkontrolle/Kriegsmaterial) to ba allowed to buy and import a original ACESII ejection seat with all its components. The only limitation that is also noticed in the papers was the fact, that all explosives have to be removed for private ownership.

So, it is not forbidden in gerneral.. you just need a paper that costs money. :D But that is everywhere in the world.. if you pay, you get nearly everything  So it also should be possible to buy just those chute containers and so on. ;)
