Hi from the Netherlands
« on: May 28, 2020, 08:22:50 PM »
Hi,
A few weeks ago I started building a f16 based homepit. This is my second pit. The first was a Cessna. I had to demolish the Cessna because I couldnt transport it when I moved. The F16 cockpit is build from the parts I used in the Cessna, such as screens, rudder pedals, boards etc.

Last week I did a quick test flight

Talk of a pretty fast build. ;D  But then again you had the base of the cessna.

Anyhow it seems to be very functional already, so must be fun to use.

Very nice!  The monitor setup is clever.  I do believe your Mach and Altimeter need to be swapped sides though.  ;)

Thanks!

I have a question: is it possible to create custom views in f4 bms?
My cockpit is far from complete so i still have to be able to click on switches with my mouse. Because of the widescreen setup and the fov, it is difficult to see all switches. It would be great if I could create my own custum snap views.... Any idea if and how this can be done?

You don't need custom views.
You absolutely need a TRACKIR. All your problems will be solved. This is a really great pit and a perfect example for Red Dog of a three monitor setup that will fit your pit. Look at the otw view! You want immersion, this is a real  addition. Worth the hassle.
Question:
Do you have room to splay the outer monitors a little?
