« on: September 17, 2006, 11:26:09 PM »
Name: St?phane "Douxx" Bourdouxhe
Born: 1969 may 16th in Montreal, QC, CA.
Age: 36
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 180 Lbs

Me in Bonia, 2004.

Biography :

Born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. We move up north Quebec when I was 10. Lived in Rouyn-Noranda near the border of Ontario for 20 years. Build my house in june 1999 in Vald'Or where I still lived. I studied in Mining technology and got my degree in 1986. Qualified paramedic but never work in the domain. Did a certificate in computer network programming. Entered the military combat engineer in 1987, did multiple NATO Tour in Bosnia, Africa and Germany. When around the word with the canadian army. I am still in it as a Warren Officer in the 9th field squadron in Rouyn-Noranda.
I join the 101ECV (Escadron de Combat Virtuel) in french... meaning Virtual Combat Squadron in 2000. I am Lt.Col and leader of the WolfPack - Canada 8.

Now I'm trying to build the ultimate ViperPit... (Aren't we all???)

It will be fully operational (cadrans and all leds). The switches will be as acurate as possible.
I have BetaInnovation cards to make everyting works. Leo told me that he thinks I'll be the first one to have an all BetaInnovation driven cockpit. I'll try to make him proud!!! I have is eFlux and Gammaray. Thanks Leo!!!
I will have Mike's panels, almost all of them!
Already ordered are:
Penny's throttle mod : received - just one word WOW! Thanks Penny!!!
Jim K's real MFDs and all kind of other real parts : received. Thanks Jim!!!
Mike's warning panel, left and right AUX support, Hud support and the ICP kit with Jay's PCB: not received yet.
It will be driven by the infamous Cougar #4276 FSSBR2 #256 modded and the Simped F-16+.
I hope to make my cockpit as close as it get to the real thing! You'll all be the judge for that!!! Please by indulgent since I'm not a wood worker and/or an artist. Thanks!

I need to give a very special thanks to Mike Williams, Jay, Jason, Olivier, Jim K, Wombat, Mike, Leo and Penny for all their ressources, their developpements and their ingeniosities that help me start this insane project.
Mike Williams for his amazing pannels.
Jay for all his works and develloppements that help us so much.
Jason for his fabulous and realistic F-16's cockpit plans.
Olivier, on who you can always count to help you and for his marvellous Cougar's plates.
Jim for all these avionics pieces and F-16's panels on eBay that are so hard to find.
Wombat for his dimensions that help me create my F-16's cockpit plans.
Mike for is wonderful site that gives you an exact idea on how to build you simulator. His book on how to build your simulated instruments is a must!
Leo for his amazing cards that makes everything more easy for us Pit builder.
And the last but not the least, Penny for an incredible F-16's throttle mod.
A very big thanks to all of you guys and girls that help us, pitbuilder, answer our questions et are always ready to help.

Well that's it with me and my project...
Hope to fly with some of you guys and girls!!!

Good to know!

I'll try to make it to Montreal for the Jazz fest. too!

I'm from Vald'Or, near the Ontario border up North.
It's 5 hours drive from Montreal, but I have some families still there.

If I can make it it would be really cool to finally talk to another crazy pitbuilder.
Each time I'm talking to my friends about my pit they always look at me with that funy face
Like I'm from outer space or something

Well... you all know the feeling!

Yes Tremblant is only 3.5 hours away.
It will be easier to attend on a week-end.

I'll look up the dates and do the impossible to be there!
I have a very good friend of mine there too, he is very interrested in building a viperpit.

LOL Jody,
Nope not me I don?t believe in dragging people to church, or even begging them, or using tactics to manipulate them.
I think that is why a lot of people want nothing to do with Christians.

I would really like to see you guys there if it were possible, if I had enough money I would buy everyone a round trip plane ticket to get us there together.

Sounds like a good time for sure.  There's not much shopping at Tremblant except for touristy kitch and edibles...so I doubt that'd last long.  It'll be hot out, though, (it sure was last year there!) so I figure they'll wind up in the main bar anyway...

Heheh.  while it can be pretty @$$-cold in Quebec in the winter, man, the summer feels hotter there than here in Arizona.  If you look at the heat index instead of the absolute temperature, you'll see what I mean.

It is HOT for sure  and the female quebecers... REALLY HOT!!!!

Just here yesterday it was 27C and the girls were like... well almost naked... and don't forget that ValD'Or is way North of Montreal and Tremblant.

So, Quebec is HOT for sure!

You should drop by one of these days, I could give you a mine tour or something... and of course talk pitting! There is plenty of room in my house!
You are welcome anytime, my friends.

Good to know!
So you should be able to talk the sexy french language then?

I learn my English at school, when to two summer immersions in English at New-Brunswick University!
And with all the NATO tour I've been all around the word with the Canadian army. Mainly because I speak French and English, I've perfected my romantic english language.

In the meantime you can see this one.

This is our 101ECV's DEMO team in Bagotville's airshow in 2005. You have two really good looking samples of our beautiful women in Quebec!!!

Here is some pictures of our Maga LAN party at Lacs-des-?les.
We are gathering at this LAN for the past 7 years!!!

The annual dogfight competition!
This is one of our 101ECV's pilot. He won the dogfight tournament.
You see him here trying to get rid of someone in his six.... ME!!!
I beat him 2-1.
But I crashed twice against someone else, so Istari (the winner) couldn't get his revanche on me in the final...

You can see all my helmets on the table behind Istari.

Wolf's cockpit!
Pretty impressive, he's got it all on the 3 touch screens.
Talk about a full glass cockpit.

And Flattop's cockpit.
The first one of the 101ECV. Simple but functionnal.

Me in my flight suit. Flying a night mission.
I think it was around 04h00 in the real world and 04h00 in Falcon.
Live LAN campaign... WOW!!!

My wingman Vega with my painted HGU-33/P helmet in the same mission.

My other wingman Mistral with my other HGU-55/P (NVG) helmet in the same mission.

Coming back home after a success mission!!!
Got 15 AG target and 4 AA Migs. :cheerleader:
Gear down...

WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What happen???
Who did this? ??? ??? ???
Wasn't me...

Me again!
Fully geared and ready for some more actions.
I flew all night. :sleepyeyed:

Next year, I will fly in my cockpit this time!!!

We were 20 pilots from our 101ECV squadron.
All my 8th Fighter Wings, the WolfPack was there.

Douxx (me) - Flight leader
Mistral - Flight Wing
Spyder - Element Lead
Vega - Element Wing

See ya next year!!!

Our Mega airshow at Bagotville in 2009...

Arriving at the hangar...

OUFFFF!!!!!  That thing is heavy!

Already some amazement... And it is not even plugged in yet. :o

Setting everything up!!!

Testing the sound system....
All our computers were linked to the external sound system so everybody could hear our calls in direct.

All plugged in and ready to go...

Testing the setup before the big show...

A little cockpit to cockpit LAN flight... :cheerleader:

Ready for take-off!!!!

Let the show begin...

A lot of people... you think!?!?!? :o

Our 101ECV bagot team was one of the most popular at the Bagotville airshow 2009...
Success, all the way!

And of course, a lot of planes performed outside...
We were doing our flights in between the outside presentations of the real fighters...

The 425 ETAC hangar in Bagotville...

At the end of the day, we were all invited to enter in some of the plane's cockpit... :-P ;)

You got to love the nice fine lines and curves on the frame of those airplanes...

All in all... We had a great time as usual!
Thanks for watching.

Hey Stephane!
WOW< what a great time you had! The pics make me feel what you saw. I know you have problems going on those trips, but it sure looks like it is worth it. I am looking forward to the day I can drag mine to an air show here in SoCal. How is that monitor working out for you? Do you like that or do you want to try a projector?

No projector... That's for sure.
They do not have enough pixels yet!

Definetly a 50 or more TrueHD Plasma screen. It is way better than an LCD.
The plasma screens have 600Mhz of refresh compared to the 240Mhz of those LCDs.
And that is the highest the LCD can have...

So plasma for computer is the way to go... We just need "la cr?me de la cr?me" with a real 1920X1200 digital HDTV.
Not the 1080P max of the TrueHD. You can only have 1920X1050 in Falcon. :(

The TV I had didn't have those anti-reflection you can have on the newest HDTV...
Next screen I'll have (if possible) I'll try those anti-reflection one.

And YES we had some very exiting time at Bagotville.... There is some pictures I can't show on the internet....
Very interesting ideed... ;)

Amazing lake view from the first floor. ;)

This time a HUGE double garage.
