Rambowski intro
« on: November 12, 2017, 02:15:22 PM »
Gentlemen,

Hereby, as promised, a quick introduction of my F-16 sim. As many of us I was infected (affected) by the Viper virus many years ago. I guess, I have played all the flight simulator games available on the market. In the past I was mainly playing SU-27 Flanker, Apache/Havoc, Microsoft Flight Simulator and off course the Falcon. A few months ago I was given the opportunity to buy an original F-16 front and the back seat cockpit panel inclusive the glareshields. From that time I am basically looking for the F-16 parts to complete my panels. :outthewindow: At present stage I have the HUD and ICP installed and some cockpit instruments as well. To control the bird I use Thrustmaster Warthog and Cougar. In the mean time, to improve my “flying” experience, I work on the ACES II seat. My final plan is to get the HUD working with the projector, MFDs working with some Chinese displays and to create a nice visual system. In a real life I am B738 driver and live in The Netherlands.

(Pictures of my pit will appear soon)

I feel the need the need for speed....

Regards,

Rambowski  :vprules:

Welcome Rambowski.

Nice set of vintage front and aft center consoles.

Looking forward to the pictures of your pit.

I am also building an early F-16B (front & Back seat). We are probably about even on acquiring parts. I have both instrument panels, half the front glare shield, and just picked up a complete HUD (Photos to follow).

I also just bought a real Aces II seat and have a real Back seat cockpit.

Good Luck
