Need some help to get the BMS extractor working...
« on: May 04, 2014, 12:16:45 PM »
Right....I need some help with getting the MFD Exporter of BMS to work. I currently have the following setup:

1 mainscreen: 46" LCD, at 1920x1080 @ 60hz
2 7" TFT-LCD at 800x600 @ 60 hz

I can move the mouse through all of the screens, so they all work, but when I open the BMS extractor tool and for example click Left MFD and launch.....nothing happens.....how do I actually move them to the proper screen, is it drag or drop....is there a screen showing all the instruments???....I just dont know how to get it to work from here on.....

Here are some pics:

Thanks for any help!!!

Chris

P.s. Also asked this question on the BMS forum....

Hello,

There are two ways that I understand to move the windows around for the extracted windows and both are under the BMS main menu.

From this menu open the configuration page.
Select cockpit display to external windows

Exit this menu and select cockpit display extraction

Select the item you want extracted

Here I selected the left MFD
This opens the menu where you adjust the size and location of the extracted file.

Here you can enter the numbers or select borders on and that way you can click and drag the box where you need it and then resize as needed by clicking on the boarder and dragging the size up or down.
After you get the location you can go back to the height and width boxes and type in the number values to fine tune the extracted item.

Of course this is if your using the BMS extractor and not Lightnings MFD extractor. I haven't downloaded that yet since I am still in the early stages if setting everything up. Don't mind the mfd extraction being upside down, that is another option to rotate the extracted display.

I still have to figure out the resolution for my TV's. right now I only have two of the three hooked up until I get my new graphics card.

Please someone with more experience with the extraction correct any mistakes I made here since I'm still new to this part.

Sorry for the bad pics, only had my phone camera at the time.

Dave
