My best friend turned out to be a Dewalt hand jigsaw, a belt sander, and my band saw.  If you go back to the early part of my thread, I think I have pictures of the cutouts and stuff.  One suggestion I have is to use quality wood for your project.  Solid "Cabinet" plywood with no voids in the layers works really well and provides a decent finish.

Ok that makes sense.  Thanks guys.  So I just ordered my Thrustmaster MFD panels but I want to add screens behind.  Any idea on screens and program to use to extract the info to the screens?  Sorry for all the questions.

If you are using BMS, it has an extractable MFD built in to it.  Also, Lightning has an extraction program MFDE I believe that will work with almost any other instrument.  I personally use both.  MFDE for my center pedestal and RWR and BMS for my MFD's.  Once you have the Cougar MFD, you can easily set each button to the function within BMS.  Something like this is what JJ was referring to.  You can get different prices if you look around.  I use these and they work great.

Hello @viper26,

MDF is easier to working and wery strong, olso with screws but you must use litle thicker then plywood eg 18mm pw / 22 mm MDF. If you wont to use Brenda’s ACESII plans for MDF, you must scale some dimensions to 22mm.

eg - my work with MDF:

2-6,

My ACESII is MDF, plywood, and fiberglass. All the structural parts are 3/4 plywood, the curved surfaces are fiberglass and the "decorative" parts (anything there for visual purposes only) is MDF. It's nearly complete minus a few details, and weighs around 50lbs. It's sturdy and looks like it will be for a long time.

I was initially using birch wood for my pit. About $40.00 for a 4'x8' sheet at 3/4" thick.
You could also use wood inserts that should be better than just screwing two pieces straight together

Ok I need some help.  I'm doing some testing with my Thrustmaster MFDs and a second computer screen.  Here is my first problem.  As you can see on the left computer screen I can't get Falcon BMS to run in full screen (to fill just that screen up whole)  I can still see my desktop.  Second, I'm using the Thrustmaster target script editor to launch BMS so that I can run my Thrustmaster Cougar files.....I can't get my MFD bezels to work with BMS.  Is there a predefined key box that I have to enable in the BMS set up to use my MFDs?  Do I have to program each button or has someone already figured out how to program these quickly?  Thanks for the help!!

I believe Falcon BMS needs to be run in windowed mode (not full screen) if you are outputting to multiple monitors.

Takeoffs are optional...landings are mandatory

Is that in the Display extraction menu?  Main won't let me disable Window mode.
