Hello from France
« on: December 23, 2021, 01:30:23 PM »
Hello everybody,

Let s introduce myself.
I m an aircraft enthusiast since... as long as I can remember (ok, maybe a bit longer than yesterday ;-)
I've started with paper aircrafts, then rc models, flight simulations, paragliders, gliders, and now i m flying small recreational aircrafts.
During first covid  wave, i was not allowed to fly so I decided to go back to flight simulation with falcon bms, eager to learn something new. And boy, I was/am not desappointed... Almost two years later, I don t know if i even scrath the surface...
Falcon bms also really impressed me by the quality level of all the systems simulated.
So to increase my immersive experience, I built my own track ir, plugged a wider screen, which required a new pc, added a tablet for FalconMFD, bought rudder pedals and set up a notification on eBay to buy a thrustmater cougar hotas joystick.
I think this is when things started to go sideways, because I ended up with a couple additional switches around my joystick...
And now, here i am, in the Viper addicts anonimous sharing my story  :digger:
I 've explored a little bit the forum and things you 've built guys are really really impressive and deeply motivate me to improve mine now.
Take care,
Olivier

Thank very much you for your welcoming messages.
I wish you all the best for this 2022 new year !
Your pits are so realistic :hail:, may this new year bring you a couple of wings and a turbojet engine to complete your masterpiece and enjoy flying it as experimental A/C. :yihaw:

Welcome to VP! I only recently joined myself, but your progress far outpaces my own. Very nice looking pit! And Merry Christmas!

Thank you very much, but to be honest, current progress on my pit is 90% due to the previous pit owner/builder.
But I really want to continue his work and definitively get rid of the mouse/keyboard while playing BMS or DCS, from 'Cockpit interior check' to 'Engine Shutdown checklist'.

Right now I'm working on central instrument panel (RWR, StdBy ATT indic, FF Indic, R&L EyeBrows, & Engine Gauges - the rest beeing already functional : MFDs, ICD/DED...)

Your pit looks awesome and I wish you all the best for you and your pit in 2022  !
