After receiving the computer, I finally figured out how it will be fixed to the cockpit. So I created the avionic bay too. To be followed soon...

I thought about putting it all in the avionics bay under the rudder box, but there just didn't seem to be enough space for air flow. This was my solution.
There is a shelf that it sits on underneath and the brackets holding on top. The switch in front of the PC mounted on the pit turns on the power supplies. The HDMI cables run through the pit and the screens plug into the front of the bulkhead. Normally the wires are better arranged behind the PC, but I have been working on things.

I thought I was unique with my computer case. Apparently everyone at the same lol ...

@sagrzmnky I have not place the case behind the pit because I want to reduce the cable lenght in the pit. As for the cooling, I can add fans at the front.

Lol. It's yours. Do what you want..
I noticed that Chris Link had his set up at the back of the pit and it seemed to work well so I thought I would try it.

So... the worst part of pit building is arrived...  :puterrage: Connect all the damn thing...

Now, to be able to fly soon, at least with the hotas and the rudder, I need to install the throttle and stick PCB. Not a problem with 2 brackets... but, where should I connect the following wires:

-Yellow (from the handle) and black (from the USB) for the throttle
-Black one for the stick (from the USB)

Do I just fix them on my alu bracket? Or fix them to the PCB where there's a little place for that? I don't know...

Someone can help me?

Thank you!

PS: If someone have the small piece screwed on the spider (that protect the switch), I need one.

PSS: I fly in the pit for the first time this after noon but this is a very temporary setup  :digger:

Ok ok...

Problems begin... So, I ordered a 90 Degree angle Hall effect sensor... but I think (almost sure) that's only work for the cougar throttle base. It doesn't work on the real arm replica...  :brickwall: :bat:
https://www.digikey.ca/products/en?keywords=480-3281-ND

I want to install it with a push pull rod, not directly on the rotation axis of the arm.

So what do you suggest me? 180, 270 or 360 degree?

I have a 90degree for sale if someone is interrested.  :flipacoin:

I have started to make the spider spring/cylinder systme too.
3/8 alu rod
3/8 compression spring (1.125 long)
13/32 brass tube

Not finished yet but will problaby this weekend.

Cut-off: 0 degree

Mid range: 90 degree

Don't figure out what's I don't make correctly?

Try to fit the sensor at the center line of the throttle rotation point.

This is what I did with mine 90 degree sensor, and it works perfectly!

Albert, its not possible for me, but, if I have the same lenght for the red part and the throttle arm, it should be ok... its my red little arm the problem. too short.

Many update this weekend!  :cheerleader:

First one, the spider system is over and working great! Only need to change the switch for the good one. That one is just for adjustment.

Second, I solved my problem with my thottle arm link. I finally make one by myself, and you know what? It work perfectly. So 90 degree hall sensor effect is perfect! Miss the cable that is on the way (thanks @Ribbs and @Hempstead for the help).

Third, during the past year, the rear bulkhead moved a little bit (around 1/8") and I had difficulties to close/open the side. So I added two bigs squares to correct the problem and to avoid that moving again.

And finally, with the squares added and the avionic bay done, I needed to paint those adds.

That means I will be ready to connect my stuff in the bay. Only miss my electric bar that is supposed to arrive this week.

That will be a neat setup!

Next step:
- Install the electric bar
- Install the USB hub
- Connect all the USB stuff (HOTAS, rudder, ICP, TM MFD...)
- Connect the hall sensor (finger crossed)
- Fly and enjoy!
