In fact the M6 head size it's almost the same to that of the DZUS...

That's why I had choosen M6  :D
You have a very nice fit, because the L-shape profiles is all in your construction.
I kept Martin's frame and added the profiles  ::)

All you need now is some wheels and a Crew Chief.  Great job!   :yihaw:

Thanks a lot for the good wishes. I got many nice presents today but no one of the packages contained a manual opening canopy handle  ...just in case anyone wants to pick the hint

Cheers

Well, life has been busy but I cannot really complain, one of the reasons is that I have been flying for real quite a bit. After passing my theory exam I am currently well into the instruction program, solo phase and expecting start crosscountry when I'm back from hollidays:

Flying in Norway is incredibly beatiful but quite challenging as well...

But back on the cockpit, I have had some time to move forward a bit on the left side:

I decided to place the throttle according to pictures and later on place the guide and side walls fitting the throttle position. I thought that would be easier than fiddling around with the whole throttle setup...

Once I have happy with the position for the throttle I started with the metal work, painting, detailing, etc...

And now I am leaving for holidays and hopefully when I come back I will be able to finish and make functional the throttle setup and go back to BMS flying while I start panel wiring.

Cheers

Hey Tulkas,
Great pit.
I have a couple questions.
For your Aces II you used 12mm MDF, as states in the plan ?
I cannot find 12mm and 6mm MDF in Portugal.
Just 10mm, 16mm, 3mm :(

Hi.

Well, I used speedone's ACESII plans and I don't remember if it specified to use 12mm. It has been 5 years, you know  ;) Anyways, more often that not I don't finde the specific material requested for a particular set of instructions so I always end up modifying and adapting to the materials I have at hand.

Cheers

If you use 12mm wood with speedone plans the seat will be bigger than the tub, if you use real tub dimensions. For speedone....10mm is the right one!

I dont know about Brendas plans, just a matter of testing it!

Btw @Tulkas great update, still inspiring! Looking forward to the right side update! ;)

I think Brenda's plans are the best you can get for the seat. They are very close to accurate and the seat looks great.
