Wife and kids away for the weekend. A chance to give a good push to my right console:

Right auxiliar screwd in place. Compass box glued:

Mastic and sandpaper. Ready to be painted:

Testing panel fitting (cannot wait to fill it up with panels. Mike!! where are you??  ;D ):

Now one of the things I enjoy the most of the building process. get a bunch of normal stuff to try to reproduce cockpit parts. This time the canopy latches. So I found some big hinges for garden gates, steel wire, alu profiles, some boat accessories...:

Two daysof alu hard work:

http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w90/Tulkas_5Js/Cockpit/IMG_4722.jpg

And getting there! Not finish yet thought but almost:

Now as soon as I get more than 15ºC outside I will be able to spray paint and then it will be ready quite fast.

I have started to look for items to populate the side walls so if any of you guys want to do bussines for:

-Compass correction card.
-CRU
-CRU hanger

Contact me. Thanks!

Cheers

May is the month where we have a bunch of vacation days here in Norway with a couple of 4-days weekends included. It was red marked in my pit-builder calendar.

Starting with a couple of ebay adquisitions:

First the survival kit belts from a F4 Phantom. I took my chances because I thouhgt they looked the same than those from the F16. I was right, you can see the right one connected to my torso arnes. With this small detail i consider my seat finish to a 97%:

I got also for 25 bucks this funtional utuility light, is the one with green filter:

Now lets work, painting, painting, painting. I envy very much String´s painting boot  :

And finally the part that makes all the work worth, when you can just assemble all the different parts and watch what you have done:

Tulkas' simulator - progress

Can someone provide me with the dimensions of the map box? I am also interested to buy a real one if there is any for sell.

Cheers

Tulkas
Tulkas, at the end did someone provide you the angle in red?

I used 86 degrees but right now I can´t remember if some one gave it to me or I just decided for it.

I completed this graphic for both consoles, I can post it when I come back from hollidays in 4 weeks if you want but I cannot  promise that the dimensions and angles are 100% the real thing.

Cheers
