Hy Guys...

.... and HELLO everybody!!

I'm new at this forum! I signed on month ago! Since that time I forgot about work I just was busy  with searching for parts for my pit  However, I read in one post, that this gonna be a very expensive hobby...  :-\ but when I see the pics in this forum I just can say it's worth!!!

I'm from Austria! How much austrian pit builders are in this forum? Till now I just know mihi4! I got involved as one friend of mine bought his own Boing 737 simulator and an other one started with a F20 pit. Than I started with my own one  When we're finish we have 3 fully functional pits at home! Right now I've no pics available, but I will post some, when I'm back at home!

I keep you up2date guys.....

BR,
AJ212

Welcome, AJ212!

Well, most hobbies are expensive. Those saying that we are crazy for spending money on this have their hobbies too. And they spend money on things we consider not worth it...

...and an other one started with a F20 pit.

Now, that's original!

Nikolas

Hy Guys,

....and thanks for the comments!

Now I'm back from abroad and as I told you before, I will provide some more detailed informations about my pit.... At first I've to tell you, that I started with such a enthusiasm, that I totally forgot, where I should build up my pit! At that time I had no room/space for my SIM, so I decided to build a room in an old barn! The same one in which the B737 SIM an the F20 Northrop SIM (still under construction) are in or will be inside ! However, during being away, we had a horribel hail in my village and almost all of the house tops had been destroyed!! Also the roof of our barn.... jeah....  :grumbl: and than the rain came....  So, the first thing I did, is drying up my room again.....  ahh...

Here some pics of it....

This is our barn with the SIM's....

However, the mess dried up again.... Till that time I flew with my provisorily SIM at home :-)

I also got the cockpit stencils from Jason and I await my first panels from Mike  :yihaw: Now I've to  seal off my room... just imagine, my pit would have been already in there....  :-\ :o
....than I start with the outer frame of my pit......

Alright guys, that's the beginning of.....  ;) I keep you posted.....

Hy raptor,

Yes, it is for the FCC! How I got it? I bought a eject handle on ebay and asked the seller if he has more F-16 parts.... So he made it for me.... (also the Throttle connector)

Hi Guys!

It's a long time ago since I made my last update! What shell I say? Had to work, and was searching for parts in the I-Net....  ;) However, since that time many things happaned to my pit and I also got a few parts

Anyway, I guess pics say more than 1000 words so.....

Here we go.....

At first I started with my ACES II:

http://i1185.photobucket.com/albums/z357/IMF237/Update14012008/ACESII.jpg
AJ212's Block 52 Pit progress

This is the status right now! I was waiting till I build up the frame, because I didn't know, if the width of my seat fits the ACES rails... However, I had to adjust them inside the inner tube!

Outer Tube:

and during assembling:

http://i1185.photobucket.com/albums/z357/IMF237/Update14012008/inner_tube.jpg
AJ212's Block 52 Pit progress

a friend of mine is working and I took the pics  :D

http://i1185.photobucket.com/albums/z357/IMF237/Update14012008/inner_tube_2.jpg
AJ212's Block 52 Pit progress

2 pics of the outer tube:

AJ212's Block 52 Pit progress

Right now I've no other pics of the tube, but I'll take some and post them later on!

I also got my first panel kit from Mike! At this place special THANKS to Mike! Great work what you did here! Can't await to get the next order  :cheerleader:

http://i1185.photobucket.com/albums/z357/IMF237/Update14012008/panels.jpg
AJ212's Block 52 Pit progress

Not all parts which I received from Mike are on this pic! Some of them you can see on the ACES pics as well!

.....and Mikes face plates of course  :)

http://i1185.photobucket.com/albums/z357/IMF237/Update14012008/face_plates.jpg
AJ212's Block 52 Pit progress

I already ordered Jarrod's gauges tubes and await them in the next few week

That's my ICP:

http://i1185.photobucket.com/albums/z357/IMF237/Update14012008/ICP.jpg
AJ212's Block 52 Pit progress

Actually it was made by Crease-Guard  ;D I decided to assemble the ICP myself so I ordered Mikes parts separate!

Here I posted my old panels and the panels I ordered from Mike:

old version:

AJ212's Block 52 Pit progress

I still miss the displays for my CMDS panel! BTW, does somebody know where I can get such a display?

Here is a pic of my consoles  ;D I already got them 2 week ago! But I couldn't assemble them together, because I arrived 2 days ago at home again... and I still miss some rivets  Thanks to Pegasus for that excellent work!!!!

http://i1185.photobucket.com/albums/z357/IMF237/Update14012008/consoles.jpg
AJ212's Block 52 Pit progress

Wanna get the center console as well..... We'll see what's coming

...and here my FCC stickbase:

http://i1185.photobucket.com/albums/z357/IMF237/Update14012008/stickbase.jpg
AJ212's Block 52 Pit progress

Ordered the FCC upgrade from Arend but still miss the stickbase mounting edge!!!!!  :-\ I tried to find it, but I couldn't till now! If one of you guys have a good advice for me... please let me know!!! THX!!!

Yeah guys you see thinks come along!  But there is still a lot of work to do! Anyway, would be very thankful for any advice from your side....

....ok, need to do some work on my pit again, than I do the next update  ;)

Hey AJ212!
Very very nice progress.
The shell to the pit look so nice, and your collection is prima.
Take care of the finance, cause trust me, it can easy go out of your hand, and subbenly only the best is good enough.

Keep up the steem, and post more pics.
