Jim, you are the Godfather of trainers!!
As another "child" trainer parent, hey Jim if they ever want to trade my Fam trainer for one of the Weapons trainers in storage, I would love to adopt one. Only because I have the room for a canopy. I know the Egress and the Weapons trainers are much bigger than the Fam's. If one comes up, keep me in mind! I already LOVE mine and Davide's is so cool. It does seem like a family. Who else has one? Chris, (String 2054) has a FAM trainer identical to mine, anyone else here? If I ever do get a Weapons or Egress trainer, I promise I will pass mine on to someone here at VP. They are a big commitment due to the size. Not exactly portable, right Davide? But what a great problem to have. I rented a 24" box truck to pick mine up because that was the only one with a lift-gate big enough. Davide, my compliments again on the "skin job" your Baby is looking great!!

Hey Davide!
I just want to put forward the idea of maybe putting a few access panels in the sides before you get much farther. Maybe by the throttle? Anybody else have an idea or is it not necessary? You can do them now and make them something like the real F-16. Just a thought.

his pledge to help the community .....
then disappeared .... but as you told .. that's another story

So that was the story behind. But you said "lost the seat" ? Seems like another long story ...

Hi Guys,
I've been "idle" for a while .... and that was mainly due to the fact that i had to live last months with a very poor sight.... Until the doctors found what was the trouble i was seeing 2 on 10 .... each eye .....
so really a BAD WORLD ! .....

I had two surgery during last month and now i'm just feeling better .... now i'm 9 on 10 on both eyes ... and still need at least one MONTH to restore completely .... so i've good expectations !

Of course even if IDLE and not posting updated ... works went on ... slowly ... verly slowly ....

This evening i went downstairs and decided to take some pictures .... in the afternoon i Read about the PIT CONTEST ... and DAMN ... nobody remembered me !  :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall:  :bat: :bat:

So... let's stop annoying with my troubles and let's start to make someone drooling.

Let's start with a SHORT list of WHAT IS DONE .....

- RUDDER PEDALS connected and working (RS) + PEDAL ADJUST
- OIL PSI, NOZZLE POS, RPM and FTIT installed and WORKING (Leo's Gauges + Efflux + PWM board)
- PFD  - G15 display with KIM's Great Software !!!
- CAUTION PANEL - Completely wired and working with LEO's 64 Latched output card
- 5 Module 10 Functions - Completely wired and working with LEO's 64 Latched output card
- ELEC - Wired all the Lamps with the same board above .. need to interface Switches
- Mounted the SPIDER LOCK with all the HW (switch to be interfaced)
- Mounted the CHAFF/FLARE button (is the real deal) - (switch to be interfaced)
- Installed the OXY Hose (using the NBC ASSY from a Dutch F-16 - NIB)

Sorry for the Blurry Images .......

Great progress!! I like the "NASA" box behind the pit on photo #4. Will you do the extended wing version ?  ;)
Still in search of something to say ...

Hallo Strale,
this is my first replay on your topic, but it's long time that I follow your progress. As you know, I'm not building  a "real thing" pit like you, but your pics are always a very important reference to me.
Thanks for share them!! ;)

After a while i took some time to make a "start up" movie !

Throttle is still "on progress" so it's still not installed in the pit (still have to interface MR - AE and RC)

hope you'll enjoy !

Hey Strale!

Weery nice video

I assume that the audio-sequence - with all the "screaming" - is part of such a start-up! Otherwise, you?d really have to straight "her" out  ;)

Thank?s for sharing...

Cheers,

GUN
